TNPSC admits malpractice in Group IV, 2A test
Admitting that there were discrepancies in Group IV and Group 2A exams, which is under enquiry, Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) on Friday asserted that it would enquire all the malpractices in the future, which comes to the Commission’s notice if there is any prima facie into the charges, even if it is small in nature.

In the latest official statement issued by TNPSC, it was said that TNPSC had received several complaints of malpractices in Group 2A exams and based on that, it has given all the information to the CB-CID, which is also probing Group IV exam scam.
“Since there is a doubt that malpractices might have also happened in Group 2A exams, the Commission has submitted all the related documents to the police for further investigation,” stated K Nanthakumar, secretary of the TNPSC.
Refuting reports that there might be irregularities in combined engineering services exams and in the interview for the appointment of vehicle inspectors too, TNPSC chairman claimed that all the documents were verified and it is found to be genuine.
“In addition, the commission also verified Group I exam related documents and there were no irregularities found,” he said adding, all the investigation and verification were done based on the media reports and not from any complaints.
On the future plans, Nanthakumar said if any complaints or media reports comes to the TNPSC’s notice against any irregularities whether it is small in nature, the commission will investigate it in transparent manner.
Meanwhile, TNPSC also announced that the candidates who have been admitted provisionally to the certificate verification for the posts included in Group – IV Services are directed to upload the scanned original documents for the certificate verification from February 1 to 7 only through listed e-Seva centres run by TN Cable TV Corporation as mentioned in the Commission Memorandum to the candidates hosted in the Commission’s website.
