Kiran Bedi hosts At Home reception for R-Day cadets
Lt Governor Kiran Bedi on Monday hosted At Home Reception at Raj Nivas here to felicitate the NCC cadets from (Tamil Nadu, Puducherry & Andaman & Nicobar Islands), who had participated in Republic Day Parade Camp 2020 held at New Delhi.

A Raj Nivas communique said, a total of 111 NCC cadets and 6 Instructors from NCC Directorate (TN, Puducherry & AN) participated in Republic Day Parade Camp 2020.
The National event witnessed participation of 17 NCC directorates from across the country.
In the competitions held during the Republic Day Parade camp, NCC Directorate (TN, Puducherry & AN) has won four gold medals in the Best Cadet category.
Overall, NCC Directorate (TN, Puducherry & AN) had secured third position, at all India basis, in the Republic Day Parade camp, the release said.
The Lt Governor, who distributed prizes to the winners said in her address that all the NCC cadets participated in the parade wearing uniform are the winners. Without hard work one cannot be selected to wear uniform. It requires extra stamina.
She further said that NCC is the national investment to build the nation than any other service. It creates leadership, quality and friendship and leads to success in life.
Bedi recalled that she was wearing three uniforms during the school days, one for school, one for sports and another one for NCC. This hard work only built her to aim high in life.
She gave a call to them to volunteer their service towards participating in the weekend morning rounds for clean, green and water rich Puducherry.
