Located in the Nilgiri range of the Western Ghats in Tamil Nadu, Bellikkal is a serene village that is quite unknown as a tourist spot. Bellikkal Lake: Surrounded by lush green surroundings, the lake is often visited by the herds of elephants. Tigers, bisons, bears and deer are some of the animals that can be spotted near the lake. This is also a popular spot for birdwatching.
Bison Valley: It received the name from bisons which occupy the valley in abundance. Travellers can see cardamom forests which are located in the vicinity of the valley. Apart from offering natural habitat to Indian bisons, the valley is home to bears, deers and elephants. Besides birdwatching, mountain biking and trekking are also popular activities in the valley.
