“What is the politics in IT raid. Only the Congress party should clarify the politics in the IT raid. Had the Congress not carried out raid in the house of cinema personalities and popular persons during their reign,” asked Kadambur Raju, while addressing the media in Kovilpatti.

The IT raid carried out in the houses of Vijay and two other personalities associated with Tollywood has been a subject of criticism not just in the political circles but also in social media. State Congress president KS Alagiri also criticised the issue and alleged that the IT raid was carried out in Vijay’s house due to political vendetta.

Following Fisheries Minister D Jayakumar, Kadambur Raju also has denied the role of the AIADMK in the raid. Earlier, Kadambur Raju said that online ticketing system would ensure exact collection for a movie and that would avoid such IT raids in the house of the actors, in the future.

In the meantime, senior BJP leader iLa Ganesan, while addressing the media in Erode, said that the BJP cadre protested in Neyveli Lignite Corporation (NLC) not against Vijay but against the NLC. “The protest was aimed at the NLC since the lignite mining company is a public sector company and how can they allow a movie shooting on their premises. The protest had nothing to do with Vijay and the protest would have happened for any other actor for that matter.”
