Nehru tells cadre to believe in work not caste
DMK principal secretary KN Nehru appealed to the newly elected district secretaries not to entertain caste politics in any form, pointing out how he was humiliated during his earlier period over the caste card.

“Believe in DMK cadre rather than the person belonging to your particular community. I experienced a series of humiliation when I was elected as the district secretary. But, I trusted the cadre who always see the party as family and work dedicatedly and thus I could achieve as the district secretary,” Nehru told the new district secretaries and appealed to cadre to give them their full support.
Nehru further said that the present elected district secretaries are noted for their friendly approach and they would never play the caste card anymore and so it is for the cadre to cooperate with them to reach the target, he said.
Tiruchy South District Secretary Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi said that all the three district secretaries would always seek the advice of the Principal Secretary Nehru.
The meeting thanked party president MK Stalin for promoting Nehru as the Principal Secretary and the smooth conduct of party elections.
The meeting also resolved to include Tiruchy, Ariyalur and Karur in the Protected Agricultural Zone.
They said that the party president has appealed to the state government to include all these three districts into the zone and the Tiruchy district DMK also appeals to the state to include the district.
The meeting also resolved to celebrate party president Stalin’s birthday on a grand scale and organise distribution of welfare assistances, medical camps and other supports to the public in March.
North District Secretary Kaduvetti Thiyagarajan, Central district secretary Vairamani and others were present.
