Resolve PU strike: The Makkal Neethi Maiam

The students were on strike for the last 19 days demanding withdrawal of the tuition fees hike by 25 per cent, reservation for local students and restoration of free transport facilities.Students of all colleges on Monday abstained from their classes in support of the university students. Condemning the government for not taking any steps so far to resolve the issue, MNM state president Dr MAS Subramanian urged the administration to constitute a panel to hold talks with the university authorities.
