Revoke Cong MPs’ suspension: DMK to LS Speaker
Opposing the move to suspend seven Congress MPs from Lok Sabha, Leader of Opposition in state Assembly and DMK president MK Stalin urged the Parliament Speaker to revoke the order.

Seven Congress MPs have been suspended from Lok Sabha for the remaining period of the Budget session for their alleged misconduct after they snatched papers from the Speaker’s table, which was against the House rules.
“It is unfortunate to hear that the seven MPs have been suspended by the Speaker for trying to bring about a discussion on Delhi Riots,” he said.
The DMK leader pointed out, “Parliament is often said to be the Temple of Democracy and the BJP government will do well to remember this,” he added.
‘No safety forgirl child’
On reports of female infanticide in Madurai district, Stalin condemned the incident and asked the government to take steps in bringing all those involved in the crime to face the law. “All those involved and even those helped in committing the crime should be punished,” he added.
Stating that there is no safety for women in Tamil Nadu, the DMK leader said that the government, who had decided to observe ‘Girl Child Protection Day,’ should also practically protect female child.
“It is sad to note that once again female infanticide incident has reported in Tamil Nadu, which has rich heritage in protecting women,” he added.
In a shocking incident a case of female infanticide was reported in Usilampatti region in Madurai district, a month-old baby girl was allegedly poisoned by her parents and grandfather.
