Dhinakaran, in a tweet, also said that the AMMK is a party of Thondar padai and AIADMK led by CM EPS is a party of Tender padai, Thondars (cadre will stay) but those for the sake of tenders will run away once when the power is gone, Dhinakaran tweeted.
In his detailed letter to the cadre, Dhinakaran said that the AMMK was gearing up to emerge as a registered national party with a common symbol and will provide a platform for the followers of Amma (Jayalalithaa) to take on the power-hungry AIADMK leaders Edappadi K Palaniswami andO Panneerselvam.
The existing AIADMK government is neither worried about the party nor the welfare of Tamils. Showering encomium on party cadre of the AMMK who are with the party at the times of tides, the RK Nagar MLA said that the party would contest the vacant Assembly seats of Thiruvottriyur and Gudiyattam where bypolls are necessitated due to the demise ofsitting DMK MLAs.
There are two evil forces for the AMMK to fight on, the current AIADMK and the arch-rival DMK. The victory in the upcoming bypoll will help the AMMK resonate its victory in the next Assembly polls of 2021, the letter read.
“Our leader is consolidating the RK Nagar Assembly seat vacated after the demise of AIADMK leader J Jayalalithaa and the party leader started his political entry in the southern district. Dhinakaran may also consider fighting from an Assembly segment in Madurai or Theni,” a senior AMMK functionary told DT Next. The party had also planned a few freebie distribution programmes in north Chennai that comprise the Assembly seats of Thiruvottriyur, Peramburand RK Nagar.
It may be noted that the Dhinakaran, who inaugurated the new party headquarters on Thursday, had told the party functionaries and media that he was planning to contest in two Assembly seats.
