Health Dept intensifies testing
The Health Department has intensified testing of samples across the State with at least 52 samples being tested on Tuesday.

Currently, there are 140 samples that have been taken from passengers in Tamil Nadu. A total of 139 samples have been processed, of which 138 samples have been negative, one sample had tested positive, who has now been discharged, while the lab test results of one passenger is under process.
A total of 2,635 people are under home quarantine for 28 days in Tamil Nadu. Meanwhile, 24 passengers are in isolation wards at various government hospitals. The patient cured of the infection is stable and remains under continuous observation. The health status of his contacts who remain under home quarantine are also stable.
Health Minister C Vijaya Baskar inspected the preparedness and screening facilities at Puratchi Thalaivar Dr M G Ramachandran Central Railway Station on Tuesday. He also visited the Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital.
The Health Department is considering talks with the dean of Madras Medical College to set up a testing laboratory at the medical college for suspected cases.

A 68-year-old woman tested positive in Mahe, Kerala, and her condition was stable in the government general hospital there,
director of Health and Family Welfare Services Mohan Kumar said. Sources said the woman had returned from Saudi Arabia after a pilgrimage on March 13.
