Don’t take out frustration on women: Police
Don’t show your lockdown frustration on women at home, that is what the Tamil Nadu police and the head of Crime against Women and Children (CWC) wing seem to be telling the men.

ADGP M Ravi, heading the unit, has warned against such crimes and asked women to contact various helplines for assistance if they are facing domestic violence or increased violence due to lockdown.
“We have not compared the figures yet. But we are getting calls. According to the UN, cases of domestic violence have doubled during lockdown globally,” Ravi told DT Next. He had also posted an awareness video on social media against violence against women, particularly during the lockdown.
“Please remember, this is a tough time for the women at home also. It is time to appreciate their work. There will be strict action against those harassing and physically abusing women,” the officer said in his message and also gave a special helpline number for assistance.
Apart from the police control room 100 and Kavalan SOS App, women can also call 181 and 1091 to get help. The CWC wing had been spearheading a campaign against child pornography in the State recently and had made a number of arrests across the State
