Chennai mall staffer tests negative, Ariyalur now case-free
Ariyalur has turned zero COVID-19 case district after two patients, including a woman, returned from Chennai after being discharged on Friday. The woman on Saturday released a TikTok video, urging the people to cooperate with the medical officials.

According to officials, the Ariyalur district had two positive cases of COVID-19 among them one was a 68-year-old man, who returned after attending the Delhi congregation and he was undergoing treatment in Tiruchy GH.
He was discharged on Thursday, after getting cured from the disease while another patient was a 25-year-old woman, who was working in a shopping mall in Velachery in Chennai and returned to her native place where she was tested positive for COVID-19 and was undergoing treatment in Ariyalur GH from March 18.
The woman who was interested in releasing TikTok videos was in controversy by releasing videos while in the GH and later she forced three nurses who were on duty to watch her videos. Subsequently, they were suspended and home quarantined.
She released another TikTok video on Saturday in which she thanked the medical officials who treated her and urged the people to be cautious and cooperate with the medical officials during this time.
