History-sheeter held with gun in Ramnad
A youth found moving in a suspicious manner was arrested near Kamuthi in Ramanathapuram district and a single barrel country gun has been seized from him. The accused has been identified as V. Ajith alias Vigneshwaran of Ammanpatti village, Tiruchuzhi taluk, Virudhunagar district.

After inquiries, Ramanathapuram SP Varun Kumar said the arrested person was a history sheeter, who had several cases against him in various police stations in different districts.
According to Aruppukottai Deputy Superintendent of Police G. Venkatesan, the accused was already detained under Goondas Act this year.
