TN government appoints 2,570 nurses on contract basis

The Tamil Nadu government on Friday said 2,570 nurses will be appointed on a six month contract to serve in the Covid-19 wards.
In a statement issued here the government said, 2570 nurses will be appointed on a six month contract.
Such persons have to report for duty within three days of receiving the appointment orders.
The appointment comes in the wake of Tamil Nadu registering a higher number of Covid-19 patients in recent times.
On Thursday, 580 persons tested positive in the state taking the total tally of 5,409 persons.
