More than 80 labourers from Nagapattinam stranded in Kerala returned to their native on Saturday with the help of the district administration

- Unable to afford for the travel expenses they appealed to District Collector Praveen P Nair through a video which went viral
- The group, all residents of Sirkazhi, Edamanal, Vadakal, Amaipallam and Varushapatthu were working as daily wagers at brick kilns in Kerala
- Following the Collector’s intervention, Palakkad administration along with an NGO on Friday arranged a KSRTC bus, which brought the group to Mayiladuthurai on Saturday morning
