The theme is ‘ social awareness’ and the film should be maximum 2.5-minute long. It can be shot on phones or professional cameras and uploaded to YouTube. The URL of the video should then be sent to tnpcontest@gmail.com, along with personal details. The last date to submit the video is May 15. The best short film will be uploaded on Tamil Nadu Police’s Facebook page.
“The idea is to engage the public in activities during the lockdown. We do not expect the work to be technically brilliant, but what would be analysed is how effectively they could convey a message despite the constraints. Also, the theme is not restricted only to COVID-19, but it can be about any socially relevant subject,” said V Vikraman, Superintendent of Automation wing, whose team is managing TN Police’s all social media accounts.
The official said that the movie should be filmed without violating social distancing norms and can be shot indoors,” he said.
The films will be reviewed by a panel of experts and the best film will be featured on the Facebook page of the TN police. The superintendent said that for the drawing competition for children, they received over 3,000 entries and they finally chose 100 interesting drawings with innovative ideas and made a video collage of the 100 drawings in different age categories.
