A statement from the DMK headquarters said that the proposed meeting would be held through video conferencing due to the total shutdown in the wake of the increasing number of coronavirus cases in the State.
DMK sources said several issues including the review of the party’s ongoing “Ondrinaivom Vaa” project were to be discussed during the meet.
The meeting is also expected to discuss the party’s future welfare measures for the COVID-19 affected people in the State.
Meanwhile, Stalin, in a separate statement, has urged the Centre to waive the loans for the farmers across the country and pay Rs 5,000 per month for three months to the migrant workers.
Also demanding Rs 10,000 for the payment dwellers, the DMK leader said that the Union Government should provide direct financial assistance for the COVID-19 affected poor and middle-class people.
“It will help the people when government offer direct financial assistance instead of offering loans to them”, he added.
