Taking exception to the CM’s reasoning that coronavirus spread was due to non-cooperation of vegetable traders in shifting Koyambedu market, Stalin, in a statement issued in this regard, said the administrative negligence of the AIADMK regime, hasty announcement of complete lockdown and lack of security in Koyambedu among the public places where people and traders gather in large numbers and paucity of planning in enforcement were the fundamental reasons for the virus spread.

The Chief Minister, who had claimed without any scientific basis that corona virus would vanish in three days, has now made a confusing statement that the virus spread would increase before it decreases, Stalin said, accusing the CM of making announcements about coronavirus without factoring in the kind of anxiety and tension it would create among the people.

Stalin also attributed widespread infection among health and sanitary workers to confusion and maladministration of the EPS regime.
