Man blames app when wife suspects his movements
You never know when you will be cornered at home by your better half. Mayiladuthurai’s R Chandrasekaran was one such example and he now blames Google Maps for the curious turn of events at home because he ended up facing the wrath of his wife because of “misinformation” by Google Maps about his whereabouts in the town.

Chandrasekaran, runs a business at Big Bazaar in Mayiladuthurai. His wife hjad a habit of checking Google Maps on his phone every day to track his movements after he returned home. One day the app had reportedly shown some places which he had never visited. Not convinced with the explanations given by Chandrasekhar, his wife, doubting his fidelity, confronted him with a volley of questions on the places shown in the app. This dispute spoiled the family’s harmony so much so that efforts by their kin to pacify the woman also did nothing to help. Meanwhile, on May 20, when Chandrasekaran’s wife showed him the map’s timeline again and demanded an explanation, a long drawn out heated quarrel ensued that finally left her unconvinced.
Finally, on Thursday, a frustrated Chandrasekaran lodged a complaint with the Mayiladuthurai police against Google Maps alleging that due to the reported glitch in the app his family life was almost falling apart. He also attached the map’s timeline documents and sought compensation from Google for “misinformation.”
