Curbs on outdoor shoots for TV serials relaxed
Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami on Saturday relaxed the restrictions for outdoor shooting by Tamil serial industry. The shooting will be permitted with a crew of 60 members from Sunday, the CM said in a statement asking the industry to ensure social distancing during shooting.

Earlier the government had fixed the number of persons at the shooting spot at 20 and there were requests from the industry seeking more relaxation, the CM said.
For districts and rural areas, the district collectors should be contacted for permission and in case of cities, the municipal commissioner will issue shooting permission.
In Chennai , the corporation commissioner should be contacted, he said. “Shooting is allowed with restrictions and in the case of containment zones, there will be no permission. No permission for onlookers. Spraying of disinfectants before and after the shooting should be ensured,” informed sources said.
According to information department sources, barring actors, all others should wear masks and maintain social distance throughout the shoots.
All equipment and vehicles coming to the spots should be sanitised and no crowd should be entertained.
The State is also considering allowing cine industry to take up outdoor shooting works in rural areas where COVID infection is not reported for more than a month.
