Producer Elango Raghupathy and director Babu Yogeshwaran have been booked under Sections IPC 154 (provoking to cause riot), 153(a) (promoting enmity), 153(b) imputations, 295(A) (malicious act to create religious outrage), 504 (intentional intent to breach of peace), 505(1) (circulating rumour), 505(2) (causing fear among the public).

Tamil Nadu BJP spokesperson Narayanan Thirupathy, in a petition filed at the City Police Commissionerate on May 27 claimed that the teaser was derogatory in nature and hurt the religious sentiments of Brahmin community. The petition further said that the scenes from the show are vulgar and obscene in nature. The teaser sparked an outrage on social media after which it was pulled down.

It may be recalled that Elango Raghupathy had lodged a complaint on Sunday that miscreants are spreading falsehood on the social media that the producer was the one who threw pork meat at a temple in Coimbatore a few days ago.
