TNCC has threatened to move the court against the state BJP unit collecting and forwarding applications from people to avail loans from nationalised banks. TNCC chief KS Alagiri condemned the state BJP for constituting committees with a political motive to liaison for loans.

BJP state chief L Murugan has reportedly constituted under his state treasurer SR Sekar a committee to help people avail bank loans just to build the party, Alagiri said. An exclusive website has been launched for it. About 20,000 applications have been received in the first few days and the state BJP was working hard to get loans for at least 10 lakh persons.
Claiming that a five-member committee has been formed in each district to process the applications and forward it to the chief committee which would liaison with banks for loans, Alagiri said the state Congress would consult experts and explore legal options if the state BJP does not stop such tactics immediately.
