“When there are restrictions to travel to other districts, how did Udhayanidhi Stalin go to Thoothukudi. Did he obtain permission from Chennai Corporation Commissioner or from Thoothukudi Collector,” questioned Jayakumar. Following the alleged lockup death of father son duo in Sathankulam, Udhayanidhi Stalin paid a visit to console the family, but his visit has come under various controversies. Jayakumar said that visit of Udhayanidhi to Thoothukudi without obtaining e-pass is illegal and this is not the problem of an individual alone during the time of pandemic. “When persons go without obtaining permission contact tracing will be a difficult process and it is harmful for the society. We should respect law and travel of Udhayanidhi is a mistake,” said Jayakumar, who also demanded a statement from the DMK leader on his visit.
