Missing teen rescued in Tiruttani after 100 days, alleges rape by man
A 15-year-old girl who went missing from Ayanavaram before the lockdown in March was traced to Tiruttani on Tuesday and investigation revealed that a man took her with him on the promise of marriage and raped her several times.

Ayanavaram all-women police have altered the case under Pocso Act and have launched a hunt for the accused, identified as Venkatesan.
The minor girl, who is said to be slightly mentally unstable, stayed with her mother, also mentally challenged, and grandmother in Ayanavaram. While the girl often stays away from home, she went missing on March 20. While Ayanavaram all-women police had registered a girl missing case, they received a call from Tiruttani railway police on Monday that the girl was rescued from Tiruttani railway station.
Ayanavaram police brought her to Chennai and investigation revealed that one Venkatesan met her at Perambur railway station on March 20 and took her with him on the promise of marrying her.
She told police that he had intercourse with her several times before being chased away by Venkatesan’s mother. Later, she found refuge at a construction worker’s house for a few days and reached Tiruttani.
