7 year old girl goes missing in Sathankulam: Found dead hours later
Sathankulam hits headlines again, for yet another controversy. A 7 year old girl who went missing, was found dead in a water storage can.

A 7-year-old girl who went to play at Vadalivilai near Sathankulam has been found dead in a water storage drum. The deceased girl, daughter of Sekar from Kalvilai Indiranagar near Thiruchendur, was seen playing in the near by woods. She reportedly went missing few hours later.
After frantic search by her relatives, they had approached the local police station.
Sources said, the body of a child was found in a water storage can, near the Isaki Amman temple in Vadalivilai and was reported to the authorities by the local people . Police rushed to the spot and recovered the child's body and took it to Nellai Government Hospital Medical College. Preliminary reports indicate that the girl had blood wounds on her lips.
Police have arrested 2 people after the first round of investigation. Following this, the Thoothukudi District Superintendent of Police rushed to the spot and inspected it.
Sources close to the police said that its suspected as a 'rape and murder case'.
