A senior official confirmed that he has been detained for an inquiry, based on a complaint by a woman journalist and added that he has not been officially arrested yet.

It had booked Kishore K Swamy under Section 354D (stalking), 509 (words and gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) of IPC and Section 4 of Women Harassment of Act.

Earlier on Wednesday, Kishore K Swamy had tweeted that his parents were harassed by police.

“My parents aged more than 70 harassed by police, CCTV footage and complaint being filed. This is what we get for supporting police, state govt and the Central govt. This is war and we are ready,” he said in the tweet.

Swamy has already been arrested last year for similar charges. He got arrested after Tamil Nadu Women Journalists Forum filed a complaint in July 2019 against him.
