The racket came to light following an advertisement making rounds on social media offering e-passes to any place in the country from Vellore within 2 hours for mere Rs 1,500. Police held Jagadish Kumar (18) son of Ashok Kumar of Big Allapuram in Vellore who got help from one Vadivel of Tirupur to carry out the ‘business.’ Hunt is on for Vadivel for providing technical services. Police said that during investigation, Jagaidsh Kumar – who has just completed plus two and was set to enter college —maintained that he had provided a fake e-pass only to his uncle and to nobody else. However, he was unable to explain the audio clip in which the person offering the services says that if the pass holder is stopped anywhere he should call him and he would set things right.
