Since rural areas in the district recorded COVID cases almost on a par with the urban pocket, Sivarasu undertook a spot review of affected areas like Valadi and Angarai in Lalgudi union and Pullambadi union. He inspected the containment zones and urged the people not to come out of their houses unnecessarily. He advised people to wear masks even when they are at home and wash their hands often. He also asked the people to complete the 14 day quarantine period and then take up their regular activities.

Meanwhile, the collector instructed the health officials to display notice in front of houses where people are under quarantine. He asked the officials to create awareness about social distancing and wearing masks.

Sivarasu also asked the people not to panic as the cases were being gradually controlled by the state government by effective measures. Lalgudi Tahsildhar Shanmuga Sundari, BDOs Rajamohan and Saravanakumar and health teams accompanied the Collector.
