He also alleged that people involved in anti-national activities are being sheltered by the DMK. We will give a befitting reply to those who are doing petty politics on issues of national security. The political parties should look into national interests, Nadda added.

Reacting strongly to Nadda’s statement DMK president MK Stalin said, BJP was the only enemy of Tamil culture and integrity of the country. Condemning BJP national president for ‘taunting’ DMK during an interaction with his party functionaries, Stalin recalled a similar statement by BJP leader Muralidhar Rao who swore to prevent him from becoming the Chief Minister. Stalin said that the BJP national president was levelling uncecessary criticism against the DMK by riding piggyback on ‘puppet’ AIADMK regime in the state.

Earlier, stating that the saffron party is ready for the next Assembly polls, Nadda on Monday reviewed the performance of Tamil Nadu BJP unit. The BJP leader, who chaired the party’s virtual executive committee meeting, also discussed the prospects of the BJP in the upcoming Assembly polls in alliance with the AIADMK. The party leader also directed the functionaries to rope in more cadre in rural areas with focus on women, Adi Dravidars and farmers.

Pointing out that the BJP state unit led by L Murugan is doing well, Nadda congratulated party men for the successful peaceful protest against the controversial Karuppar Koottam. He further said, “In the coming days, BJP will have a substantial share in municipal and Vidhan Sabha (Assembly) elections. We have increased our vote base in the state and the BJP is committed to being a driving political force in the state.” He also asked the party men to take the benefits of the new educational policy to the people in the state.

Muralidhar Rao took part in the virtual meeting from Delhi. state BJP president L Murugan, former union minister Pon Radhakrishnan, national secretary H Raja and senior leaders welcomed Nadda from Chennai.
