CPM, SFI members stage protest in Pudukkottai, seek cancellation of NEET
The members from the CPM and the SFI staged a protest in Pudukkottai to cancel the mandatory NEET exam for the medical admission. The members from SFI who gathered in front of Pudukkotwwtai Head Post Office venue raised slogans in support of their demands.

The members led by the district secretary S Jananthanan urged the Centre to cancel the mandatory NEET exam for medical seats and demanded the State government to pressurise the centre to get relaxation for the students from Tamil Nadu and claimed that the students are under frustrated mood and even scared of facing NEET owing to their poor background. The cancellation of the exam would only be the relief to these students. Meanwhile, the members from CPM were staging a protest in front of the Karambakudi taluk office. They also urged the state government to give pressure to the Centre and cancel the NEET exam at once. They also demanded a compensation of Rs 10 lakh to the NEET aspirant Harishma who committed suicide after she could not download the admit card for NEET exam.
