Thunderstorm warning issued across isolated areas of TN
Chennai saw cloudy skies and showers across the city on Sunday, with pleasant weather breaking the humidity of the past week. These showers are predicted to continue for a few days as the storm clouds pass through the city and State.

The maximum temperatures recorded at Nungambakkam and Meenambakkam were 28.6 and 29 degrees Celsius respectively, while the minimum temperatures were 26.1 and 24.9 degrees. The stations saw 0.6 and 0.4 mm of rainfall respectively.
“Under the influence of yesterday’s cyclonic circulation, a low-pressure area has formed over West-central Bay of Bengal off Andhra Pradesh coast. It will move west-northwestwards towards Andhra during the next 24 hours,” said an official from the Regional Meteorological Department.
Districts like Vellore, Tiruvannamalai, Salem, Dharmapuri and Krishnagiri saw isolated cases of heavy rainfall, and this weather pattern is expected to continue on Monday as well. A thunderstorm warning was issued across isolated areas of Tamil Nadu.
Over the next 24 hours, the skies will remain cloudy, and light to moderate rainfall is expected across the state. Maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to be 30 and 26 degrees Celsius respectively.
