COVID 19: TN records 5,185 new COVID cases while 5,357 recovered
The COVID recovery cases exceeded the new infections as on October 9, in Tamil Nadu. Chennai continued to see an upward trend with 1,288 cases reported.

As many as 5,185 people tested positive for coronavirus in Tamil Nadu over the past 24 hours, the State Health Department on Friday, increasing the COVID infections toll in the state to 6,46,128.
In the last 24 hours, 68 people succumbed to COVID-19 in Tamil Nadu on Friday pushing the death toll in the state to 10,120.
According to the bulletin released by the health department, as many as 5,357 were recovered and discharged today.
While the state capital, Chennai recorded a total of 1,288 new cases, the other districts reported 3,897 cases. The containment zones in Chennai has been increased to 70.
