Madurai Airport gets flight info display system in Tamil

The Airports Authority of India had recently installed a new flight information display system (FIDS) replacing the old ones. These display systems installed, would display the flight timings, boarding, baggage belt assignment to the passengers at Madurai Airport.

While the earlier FIDS displayed the information only in English and Hindi, the new ones display the information in Tamil additionally.

This move by the AAI is welcomed by the passengers and Tamil activists.

The authorities had said that the anti-glare digital signage boards with high contrast ratio and wide viewing angle would ensure the visibility in varied lighting conditions and the status of flights are updated in real time to assist passengers to proceed further within the terminal.
