This morning, the police control room received a call from an anonymous person saying that he has planted a bomb in DMDK Vijayakanth's residence in Virugambakkam. The police personnel rushed to the leader's residence along with the bomb squad and sniffer dogs, only to find it to be a fake call.
After 3 hours, another call from the same number was received by the Police control room, again with a bomb threat to Actor Dhanush's residence in Teynampet. Reports said that though no bombs were found in actor's residence, the security has been beefed up in the locality.
Police sources revealed that both the calls were made by the same person, who apparently happened to be the same mentally ill person who had issued a fake bomb threat to actor Surya's house in T.Nagar, a few months ago. Earlier, due to his health conditions, the police had restrained to file a case against him and instead released him with a warning. But now since the offence has been repeated, the police is on hunt for the absconding man.
