OBC reservation for medical seats should be implemented this year: PMK chief Ramadoss

Since the OBC reservation for TN medical students has been green flagged by High Court the reasons central government cites to stall the policy is untenable, says PMK chief Ramadoss.

In his statement he said OBC reservation for TN students in the national pool could be implemented this year as medical admissions are yet to commence.

He said that shifting blame to cases relating to reservations for putting OBC reservation in the backburner is a lame excuse and the Supreme Court would consider the implementation if central government shows some intent with this regard.

Ramadoss pressed that no delay should be shown in implementing OBC reservation for TN medical aspirants.
