COVID-19: 206 cases, 2 deaths in Puducherry
The spike in coronavirus cases and deaths in the Union Territory continued with 206 persons tested positive and two patients died in the last 24 hours.

Puducherry
The total number of active cases stood at 4,100 now, according to COVID-19 status released by the health department here on Tuesday.
As many as 143 new cases were reported in Puducherry region, 29 in Karaikal region, 18 in Yanam region and 16 in Mahe region. About 252 patients were discharged in the last 24 hours and 201 of them were from Puducherry region, 30 from Karaikal region, 7 from Yanam region and 14 from Mahe region. One death each were reported in Puducherry and Mahe regions.
At present, 1,358 patients were being treated in Puducherry region, 62 in Karaikal, 42 in Yanam region and 59 in Mahe region. Another 2,579 persons tested positive for the virus were getting treatment under home isolation in all the four regions of the UT. The case mortality rate is 1.72 per cent and the recovery rate is 86.02 per cent.
