It may be recalled, actor Vijay’s father SA Chandrasekar had applied for the registration of the All India Thalapathy Vijay Makkal Iyakkam as a political party with the State Election Commission and soon the actor had denied his involvement in the move and asked his fans not to have any association with the party as well as the use of his name and portrait in the party.

However, Chandrasekar was said to be firm on his decision and proceeded with the activities and made RK Raja alias Padmanaban as the state president and he as the general secretary. Subsequently, the actor announced that RK Raja has no association with his makkal iyakkam and reportedly asked his fans to stay away from him. However, RK Raja was said to be very busy with party activities in Chennai and was in a discussion with Chandrasekar in the appointment of district-level functionaries and has been planning for a statewide tour to popularize the party.

Meanwhile, an office-bearer Ravi Shankar from Tiruchy Vijay Makkal Iyakkam recently complained against RK Raja alleging that he had involved in a scam with land broking and collected money from around 1000 persons duping them to get the land and urged immediate action against him.

On Wednesday late hours, the City police who registered a case went to the house of RK Raja but he was not available and so on Thursday, the police who again came to the house, took RK Raja’s wife and his brother in law for questioning.

In the meantime, RK Raja had released a video in which he said that he had not been involved in any of such incidents mentioned in the complaint.

He also said that there was no case against him anywhere in the state so far.

He said that Raja, an office-bearer from Puducherry has been acting against him and he is responsible if anything happens to him.
