“The AIADMK and the BJP are to hold preliminary alliance talks and discuss seat-sharing and the visit of Shah is crucial for NDA alliance in TN,” said an AIADMK leader who is likely to be part of the key meeting.

He added that the Bihar results were closely watched in the State by both the AIADMK and the opposition DMK. “Some of our leaders were surprised to see the NDA led by BJP recording the victory for a third consecutive time. If the AIADMK with BJP wins the upcoming polls it will be a similar feat for the NDA,” the AIADMK senior said adding that Saturday’s foundation stone programmes for infra projects will be similar to a pre-poll campaign.

There were unconfirmed reports that Shah could call upon Rajnikanth as well. The superstar had recently hinted about his renal transplant to his fans who are waiting for the actor’s political debut. Rumours of MK Azhagiri, being wooed by the BJP and that he could join the saffron party anytime are also doing the rounds.
