Nivar cyclone: TN CM takes stock of cyclone-hit Cuddalore

Nivar cyclone crossed Tamil Nadu on the early hours of Thursday, despite weakening, it has been causing gushy winds along with scattered rainfall in Chennai and interior districts.

Tamil Nadu's Chief Minister Edappadi Palaniswamy visited cyclone hit Cuddalore district to inspect the damages.

He was flanked by Gagandeep Singh Bedi, Agricultural Production Commissioner.

Bedi briefed CM Palaniswami regarding the intricate details of damage while the recovery work was going on.

CM first visited Reddychavadi in his Cuddalore itinerary.

Nivar cyclone crossed Tamil Nadu on the early hours of Thursday, despite weakening, it has been causing gushy winds along with scattered rainfall in Chennai and interior districts.

Though Nivar isn't as intense as earlier cyclones faced by Tamil Nadu, with the state already grappling with steady uptick of covid cases, this cyclone has the work cut out for state machinery.
