TN colleges to reopen tomo following strict guidelines
Easing curbs further, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister K Palaniswami said social, political and entertainment events would be allowed in auditoriums and announced opening of colleges for final year undergraduate students from December 7.

Undergraduate final year classes for all colleges and universities including arts, science, technology, engineering, agriculture, fisheries and veterinary and hostels for them are permitted to start December 7, the Chief Minister said adding from the same day, classes for UG and postgraduate medical and para-medical courses shall begin, following the guidelines issued by LGC.
The dates for re-opening of other lower semester students will be informed later. Online classes will be continued until further orders from the Government of Tamil Nadu. However classes for freshers who enroll during the current 2020-21 academic year would begin from February 1, next year.
The Principals of affiliated engineering colleges of Anna University are directed to strictly follow standard operating procedures and existing guidelines given by Government of Tamil Nadu.
Guidelines for the opening of higher education institutions in Tamil Nadu from December 7 have been issued. Only 50% of students should be allowed in the college premises. Students should wear masks and maintain social distancing to avoid transmission of disease. Also, it is ordered to conduct classes in rotation.
