1,134 new cases and 12 deaths reported in Tamil Nadu
With 1,134 new COVID cases, including three imported cases from Delhi, the total number of cases in the State reached to 8,04,650 on Friday.

Chennai reported 341, while Coimbatore recorded 115 new cases. Among other districts, Chengalpattu and Tiruvallur reported 69 and 51 cases respectively.
As many as 12 more patients succumbed to the infection. The total number of deaths stands at 11,954. A total of 1,170 more people were discharged from several hospitals, taking the total to 7,82,915.
The number of active cases in the State stands at 9,781. In Chennai, 3,037 active cases are reported in the city currently.
As many as 75,347 samples were tested for COVID-19 in Tamil Nadu on Friday, while 74,957 more people were tested.
