Upset PMK calls General Body meet on Dec 31
PMK president GK Mani on Tuesday announced that the special General Body (GB) meeting of the party will be held on December 31 following the allegations levelled on the ruling AIADMK government in the issue of reservation for Vanniyar community.

“The GB meeting will be held through video conferencing at 11 pm on December 31 in the presence of PMK leaders S Ramadoss and Anbumani Ramadoss. Detailed discussion will be held on the stand of PMK in the upcoming Assembly elections,” said Mani, in a statement.
Following the PMK protest demanding 20 per cent reservation for Vanniyar community, the government appointed a commission to undertake caste census in the state.
However, the PMK which was disappointed at the announcement said that its demand is only 20 per cent reservation for Vanniyar community, but the state government as an eyewash, had formed a commission to undertake caste census.
PMK sources said that the party is upset with the AIADMK and in the meet discussion on alliance for polls will be a key subject.
