Tamil Nadu Education Minister KA Sengottaiyan has once again affirmed that the board exams of the current academic year will be held and the time table for the same will be announced after approval from the Chief Minister.
Further, he rubbished off rumours that the government is planning to cancel the board exams for classes 10, 11.
Earlier, the Minister had said that students were declared all pass given the prevailing pandemic situation and ensuing lockdown. “But today the situation has changed. Yet, a decision would be taken after discussions with CM,” he said.
As both quarterly and half-yearly exams were cancelled this academic year, it remained uncertain on what criteria the students would be promoted if the board exams too get cancelled.
Apparently, the Minister has now confirmed that the board exams will be held soon and he requested the students to stay safe.
