Govts have failed miserably to control prices, says Haasan

CHENNAI: “MNM has held a state-level protest demonstration against petrol, diesel, domestic LPG and property tax hike. The central and state governments, which have failed to control prices, have plunged the people of the state into unbearable misery,” Kamal Hassan wrote in a tweet.

Haasan said that Tamil Nadu is reeling under industrial recession, economic collapse and loss of revenue.

“This burden imposed on the people by the central and state governments must be removed immediately. The miseries of people should be eliminated, ” he said.

MNM vice president AG Mourya led the protest demonstration against the centre and the state governments over the fuel price and property tax hike in the city on Saturday.

The MNM cadres raised slogans against the BJP government at the centre and the DMK government at the state for hiking the fuel prices and property tax steeply.
