2 history-sheeters hacked to death by gang in Manimangalam

As an act of revenge, two history-sheeters were hacked to death by a group of men in Manimangalam on Tuesday night.

CHENNAI: As an act of revenge, two history-sheeters were hacked to death by a group of men in Manimangalam on Tuesday night.

The deceased Surendar (20) and Vignesh (23) of Manimangalam were history-sheeters and has murder and attempt to murder cases pending against them. On Tuesday, around 9 pm while Surendar and Vignesh were walking on the road, a group of men intercepted them and attacked them using sickles and knives and escaped on their bikes. On information, Manimangalam police who rushed to the spot admitted them to the Chromepet GH, but there they died without responding to treatments.

Police said on March 31, a history-sheeter Devendran of Manimangalam was hacked to death in the same place by Vignesh, Surender and his friends Sathish, Sudhakar and Ansari. Police said Devendran was killed in the clash on who is a leader in the area. Only last month Surender, Vignesh and his friends were released on bail. The Manimangalam police after an initial inquiry said Devendren's men had taken revenge on Vignesh and Surender and a case has been registered. A special team had been formed to nab the murderers.
