Ariyalur, Ramanathapuram only districts with no new COVID-19 cases

CHENNAI: Tamil Nadu reported 547 new cases including a case each from Singapore West Bengal on Wednesday, taking the total number of cases to 35,65,020. Chennai recorded the highest number of infections with 82 new cases followed by Coimbatore with 70 cases, Erode and Chengalpattu had 42 each, and Salem 38 cases.

Ariyalur and Ramanathapuram districts had zero. TN’s test positivity rate stood at 2.8% after 20,161 samples were tested. Chennai’s TPR was 2%. As many as 649 patients were discharged across the State. Total recoveries reached 35,21,357. At least 23,428 samples were tested during the last 24 hours. No new COVID fatality was reported. Death toll remains at 38,033.
