TN man allegedly shot dead in Kuwait
The victim hails from Lakshmangudi village of Koothanallur taluk of Tiruvarur district. He had a B. Pharm degree and is survived by wife, Vidya, and his 2 sons.
CHENNAI: A 30-year-old Muthu Kumaran of Tiruvarur was allegedly shot dead in Kuwait.
The victim hails from Lakshmangudi village of Koothanallur taluk of Tiruvarur district. He had a B. Pharm degree and is survived by wife, Vidya, and his 2 sons.
When Vidya contacted the company in Hyderabad as she could not contact her husband, she did not get a proper response. Later, she came to know that he has been shot dead in Kuwait.
Later, it was learned that Muthu Kumaran was killed by his boss when he protested and said he would not graze camels.
At first, there was no information about him. But, reports mentioned that the firing took place in the Sabah Al-Ahmad desert area, where an Indian worker had been shot down with an air rifle.
After intensive investigation, it was revealed that the person who was shot dead was Muthukumaran from Tamil Nadu.
Thiruvarur Collector Gayathri Krishnan said, "Muthu Kumaran's wife Vidya has given a petition. Action is being taken on it. I have forwarded the petition to the appropriate authorities. Necessary action will be taken."
