Chief Minister’s police medals announced for 127 personnel

The medals will be presented by the Chief Minister at a ceremonial medal parade at a function to be held later.

CHENNAI: The State government on Wednesday announced Chief Minister's medal for 127 personnel attached to police and other uniform services, for their outstanding service, on the occasion of birth anniversary of former Chief Minister C N Annadurai, on September 15.

According to a release, Chief Minister M K Stalin has ordered the distribution of Chief Minister's medal to 100 police personnel and officers from the rank of Grade-I Police Constable to Superintendent of Police, 8 Fire and Rescue Service Personnel and Officers from the rank of Upgraded Leading Fireman to Deputy Director, 10 Prison Service Personnel and Officers from the rank of Grade-I Warden to Assistant Jailor, 5 Home Guards Officers and personnel from the rank of Home Guard to Area Commander, 2 Officers from Finger Print Science Unit in the rank of Additional Superintendent of Police and 2 Officers from Forensic Science Department in the rank of Joint Director and Deputy Director.

The medals will be presented by the Chief Minister at a ceremonial medal parade at a function to be held later.
