Time will come for me to lead, unite AIADMK, says Sasikala
The ousted leader expressed hope that the AIADMK will face Lok Sabha polls united.
TIRUCHY: As the real cadre are with us, time will come that I will take the leadership of the AIADMK and go to the party headquarters, said VK Sasikala in Thanjavur on Thursday.
Sasikala paid a floral tribute to the portrait of the late chief minister CN Annadurai at her residence at Arulanandapuram in Thanjavur and distributed sweets among the cadre who gathered there. “MGR and J Jayalalithaa had followed the principles of Anna and led the government. In the similar vein, we the children of Anna would unite soon and ensure the victory of AIADMK,” she told the reporters.
She assured that the AIADMK cadre scattered around will certainly unite soon and drive the party to a grand success in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls. She charged that the DMK government had dropped a series of people welfare projects brought by the late chief minister Jayalalithaa. “The people have started to talk against the DMK openly. The government should not stop any pro-people projects for political gain,” she stressed.
Stating that the real AIADMK cadre are with her, Sasikala said that there are bright chances for her to lead the party. “The time will come soon and I will take hold of the party and will go to the party headquarters,” she said and added that after taking the lead in the party, she will work for uniting all the leaders, including Edappadi K Palaniswami.
