Students in Cuddalore have been sent out of classrooms and fumigation work is going on vigorously.

CHENNAI: As the Influenza cases rise, the Tamil Nadu Health Department on Tuesday took strict preventive measures to prevent the spread of viral fever among students in the Cuddalore district, according to a Daily Thanthi report.

Students in Cuddalore have been sent out of classrooms and fumigation work is going on vigorously.

Earlier, two persons, including a school student tested positive for H1N1 (swine flu) in Tiruvarur and have been isolated. District Collector B Gayathri Krishnan has ordered a medical assessment camp at the particular village and the school.

Official reports on Monday claimed that over 1,000 cases, including children across the State, have tested positive for the AH1N1 strain of the virus.
