14-yr-old sets world record by swimming between Ireland & Scotland

Snehan, a student of Class 9, achieved the feat in a record time of 14 hours and 39 minutes on September 20 as he’s the youngest boy, who swam against the current of cold oceanic waters, in the world.

NA Snehan from Theni sets new world record

MADURAI: NA Snehan from Theni brought pride to India after he set a new world record by swimming over a distance of 35 kilometers at sea between Ireland and Scotland.

Snehan, a student of Class 9, achieved the feat in a record time of 14 hours and 39 minutes on September 20 as he’s the youngest boy, who swam against the current of cold oceanic waters, in the world.

No one has achieved this at the age of 14, M Vijayakumar, Swimming Coach, Sports Development Authority of Tamil Nadu (SDAT) said in Madurai on Tuesday. With this feat, Snehan has entered the Book of URF World Records.
